藤井陽介
1987年生まれ。ロンドンのセント・マーティンズ美術学校を卒業後、ヨーロッパ各地に滞在。帰国後、画廊勤務を経て制作活動を開始する。
布を支持体として、一点一点手描きによるクチュールドレスを制作。衣服を単なる装身具ではなく、身体を包む一つの絵画として捉え、絵画と服飾の境界を横断する独自の表現を展開している。その作品は、皇室をはじめ、財界・芸能界などの顧客に支持されてきた。
近年はその表現を衣服にとどめず、茶の湯をはじめとする日本の室礼の世界へと広げ、帛紗、短冊、帯、花緒など、暮らしの中で用いられるさまざまな道具に絵を施している。
日本の伝統文化や美意識との対話を通して、ものと人、そして空間との関係を見つめながら、現代の暮らしにおける新たな室礼の在り方を探求している。

Yosuke Fujii
Born in 1987, Yosuke Fujii is a Japanese contemporary artist and designer whose practice moves fluidly between painting, couture, and the aesthetics of Japanese tea culture and spatial arrangement.
Fujii graduated from Central Saint Martins (BA Fine Art) in London and subsequently spent several years living and working across Europe. After returning to Japan, he worked at an art gallery before establishing his own creative practice.
Working primarily with fabric as his canvas, Fujii creates one-of-a-kind couture pieces, hand-painting each work individually. He approaches clothing not simply as something to be worn, but as a form of painting that envelops the body, developing a distinctive practice that transcends the boundaries between painting and fashion. His couture works have been collected and commissioned by clients including members of the Japanese Imperial Family, as well as prominent figures in business and the entertainment world.
In recent years, Fujii has expanded his practice beyond clothing into shitsurai—the Japanese tradition of thoughtfully arranging objects and spaces, particularly within the culture of tea. He paints a range of objects used in daily life and tea gatherings, including fukusa (silk cloths), tanzaku (poetry cards), obi sashes, and hanao (kimono sandal straps).
Through an ongoing dialogue with Japan’s traditional culture and aesthetic sensibilities, Fujii explores the relationship between objects, people, and space, seeking new possibilities for shitsurai in contemporary life.
